KV2 Joins the Circus
November 15th 2011 saw the grand opening of a new club like no other. As you enter through outdoor entrance covered by a circus style tent, the first step inside leads you to a unique venue, complete with acrobats, clowns and dancers! The Grandiose Velours, Royal Red velvet drapes and coverings and rich furniture is just a sample of what you will find downstairs beyond the led illuminated steps! Two KV2 Audio EX6 active speakers give you a preview of the sound quality you will experience inside.
The sound system is exclusively KV2 AUDIO, designed and installed by TRIANGLE ENTERTAINMENT SERVICES who have created extraordinary results in major clubs around in the region.
Cirque-Du-Soir certainly presented challenges, the lower than standard ceiling heights (except for the main entrance), had tables and listening positions sometimes just within a few meters of speaker points. The main concern was to have a high SPL without "disturbing" or creating ear-fatigue for the customers. Within the long corridor shaped area, Triangle used KV2 ESD12s with the horn installed horizontally to balance the dispersion and SPL across the room. A Total of 8 ESD12 speakers were used driven by a KV2 ESP4000 four channel amplifier supplemented with 4 ES1.8, 18" Subwoofers and 2 ES2.5 Double-15" Subwoofers driven by two VHD3200 amplifiers, all processed by a KV2 Audio SAC2 Controller.
Within the bar area and surroundings there is a total of 5 KV2 Audio EX12 speakers installed vertically and 3 EX2.5 Double-15" Subs. An additional 4 units of EX6 cover another special VIP corner. DJ monitoring is covered by two KV2 EX10 Speakers.
