KV2 Audio, recently welcomed visitors to a technical tour of its Milevsko factory to celebrate the grand opening of its new in-house demo room. Members of the Austrian Association of Sound & Music Designers (ÖTMV) and Audio Engineering Society (AES) Austria were invited to join KV2 for an exclusive event at its Czech headquarters for two days of technical insights and demonstrations. “KV2 has strong roots in the Austrian live events industry,” says CEO, George Krampera Jr. “Our systems are at the centre of many prestigious festivals, renowned theatres, sports arenas, and popular nightclubs. The factory tour and grand opening provided an unmissable opportunity to strengthen our relationship with our Austrian partners and showcase how our award-winning technology is made.”
Attendees included heads of sound and technical specialists from some of Austria’s most prestigious opera houses and theatres – among them the Vienna Volksoper, the Vienna State Opera, the Burgtheater and the Bregenz Festival – alongside broadcast engineers, acoustic consultants and researchers, and leading systems integrators. They were treated to a guided factory tour that detailed the meticulous production process. KV2 operates in accordance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards, maintaining quality and control throughout the manufacturing cycle while ensuring the safety and support of its engineering team. Guests discovered how each discipline of KV2 works together, from research and development to woodwork and electronics.
“Seeing the whole process under one roof explains a lot about why these systems sound the way they do. As someone who has relied on KV2 for years, what struck me most was the consistency of manufacturing and the pursuit of excellence at every step — the same care from the raw materials used in the wooden cabinet to the impeccably finished loudspeaker,” Martin Lukesch, Head of Sound, Volksoper Vienna, and long-standing KV2 user.
Throughout the tour, expert guides provided technical oversight of KV2’s Super Live Audio (principles), where bespoke electronics are individually designed and honed to match the exact components they will drive. Sharing a dedication to using the ultimate technology in all disciplines, and the key factors employed to minimise distortion, increase clarity, and deliver the most detailed, natural and honest reproduction of any performance to the audience.
The highlight of the factory tour was the grand opening of the factory’s on-site demo room where all these additional steps combined to present an audio extravaganza for the visiting guests. “Our new demonstration facility has been a long-standing vision for KV2,” shares Krampera Jr. “It provides us with the means to showcase the dynamics, depth, definition, and timing of KV2 loudspeakers, in a way that cannot be authentically evaluated from a specification sheet. Thanks to this purposely designed space, we can bring the true point source experience of KV2 directly to our visitors.”
Beyond cutting-edge acoustic design and hand-picked electronic components, the demo space really prioritises natural audio reproduction. “We’re beyond proud of our demo room, so to celebrate the opening alongside our partners and friends made it a truly special occasion,” Krampera Jr. concludes.
Following a successful inauguration, KV2 Audio looks forward to welcoming more local and international visitors at the Milevsko factory to experience its distinctive, innovative and sustainable approach to sound reproduction first-hand.
