Portsmouth-based MLS Audio has become the latest UK pro audio solutions provider to acknowledge and invest in the benefits of KV2 Audio’s large format True Point Source VHD system. Having steadily increased his KV2 inventory over the years, director Guy Morris decided that the time had come to invest in a complete VHD system comprising VHD2.0s with VHD 1.0 downfill enclosures, a full complement of VHD 2.16 dual 15-inch subwoofers as well as the impressive VHD 4.21 ultra-low frequency active/passive dual 21-inch subwoofer system. Read more »KV2 Audio and their Chinese distributors, AVMEDIA, took the opportunity to launch the VHD5.0 large format concert system during the recent Guangzhou Pro Light and Sound Show. Demonstrations of the system were held at a secluded location near the exhibition centre and guests were bussed from the show to the site. Attendance was excellent, despite the unusually cold weather for the first couple of days, with many of China’s leading engineers and production managers taking the time to come along and experience the VHD5.0 Constant Power Point Source Array’s unprecedented performance.

Read more »Last-minute relocations and narrow stages were no obstacle to the dynamic AV setup at this year's Jordan Festival. The run-up to this year's Jordan Festival had its fair share of upheaval. The annual festival, which attracts musicians and performers from across the globe, was to feature headline act Sir Tom Jones. With Jordan's tourism board jumping at the chance to flaunt its rich historical heritage, the Amman Citadel was the perfect location - sitting majestically on top of a hill, overlooking the eastern part of the city. Triad Live Productions Co was assigned the project in its entirety, from lighting to audio, staging and IMAG.

Read more »When technician Mickey Levis had to find a new PA for Bendigo’s Capital Theatre, he did a full dress rehearsal. When Bendigo’s new 1000-seat Ulumbarra Theatre opened in 2015, everyone thought it would simply spread the gig load. Up until then, the 480-seat Capital Theatre had been doing it all — music, events, theatre — you name it. By the seat allocations alone, Ulumbarra should have cannibalised at least two-thirds of the Capital’s shows, but head technician Mickey Levis said the Capital is still as busy as ever. There’s just more gigs happening in Bendigo.
